Income, Expense & Profit/Loss
Use Income to record incoming funds that should appear in the accounts and Expense to record expenditure. Classify transactions under the appropriate income or expense head so reports remain meaningful.
Profit & Loss summarizes income and expenses over the selected period. Use it as a management report, then drill into the underlying income or expense entries when a total needs explanation.
Bank Accounts & Fund Transfers
Use Bank Account to maintain the school's configured banking records. When money moves from one configured account to another, use Fund Transfer so the movement is recorded as a transfer rather than duplicated as new income or expense.
Finance Monitor & Fees Income
Finance Monitor provides management visibility into financial activity. Fees Income Report focuses specifically on income generated through the fees workflow. When fee totals do not match expectations, compare the fees reports with the relevant collection records before editing transactions.
Budget Planning
Budget Planning allows management to prepare financial targets and compare planned values with actual collections and expenditure. Use the correct academic year and period, review the assumptions behind each budget line, and update the budget only through authorized school processes.
