Send Email / SMS
Enter the message details
Enter a Title, choose whether to send through Email or SMS, then enter the message in Description.
Choose the sending method
Select a Batch Size of 50, 100, 200, 300 or 500 and set the delay between batches. For a large recipient list, use Safe Batch Sending to reduce timeout and server-load problems.
Select recipients
Use Group, Individual or Class. Select the intended recipients, review the message and click Send.
Send WhatsApp Messages
Go to Communicate → WhatsApp Messages. WhatsApp campaigns can target a group, an individual or a class.
Name the campaign
Enter a clear Campaign Name so the communication can be identified later.
Select the message type
Choose Approved Template or Plain Message. For an approved template, select the template and complete the required variables using available tokens such as Recipient and School.
Add media when required
If the selected template supports media, provide the Media URL.
Control campaign delivery
Select Batch Size, Pause Seconds and Sender. Auto Select Sender uses the latest active WhatsApp Meta Cloud sender assigned to the school.
Select recipients and send
Choose Group, Individual or Class, select recipients and click Send WhatsApp.
SMS & WhatsApp Wallet
Go to Communicate → Buy SMS Units. Schools can view balances and top up both communication services without leaving JestEdu. Payments are processed through Paystack.
Available SMS Units shows the school's current JestSMS balance.
Enter the top-up amount. The page shows the estimated SMS units and total payment before checkout.
Available Wallet Balance shows the current WhatsApp balance.
Enter the amount to credit. JestEdu shows the wallet credit and estimated payment before checkout.
Recent SMS and WhatsApp top-ups remain available on the same page for reconciliation and reference checking.
Notice Board, Events & Calendar
Use the Notice Board for school notices, Event for scheduled school activities, and Calendar to review academic and operational events by date. Email and SMS templates can be maintained from the corresponding Template menus for consistent communication.
Communication Logs
Use Email / SMS Log to review previously sent communication. When investigating a complaint that a message was not received, check the log, the recipient's contact details, the school's available communication balance and the relevant sending configuration before resending.
